Achievements of the Class of 2023 Recognized
Rutgers School of Dental Medicine held its yearly award recognition ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class. At the May 10 event, faculty, staff, families, and loved ones of the Class of 2023 came together prior to graduation.
“This class was the most affected by the pandemic,” said Dean Cecile A. Feldman. “It would have been very easy to hunker down and just do the bare minimum ... but we're here to celebrate all the achievements of those students that really went above and beyond, whether it be in the academic realm, whether it be in a leadership realm, whether it be the community service realm.”
Forty-three students received awards from numerous departments and dental organizations. Additionally, eight students have been inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Omega Omega Chapter.
