For Department of Endodontics patient-related questions or services, please call 973-972-4242 Ext. #2
Treatment for endodontics in the Post-Graduate Department of Endodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine is by referral.
To make an appointment, your dentist needs to write a letter of referral which can be sent via fax or email:
- Fax: 973-972-9402
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The referral letter should contain:
- Your dentist’s name, address, and phone number
- The nature of your problem
- Your contact information including name and telephone number
Upon receipt of this information, we will contact you and set up an appointment for your endodontic treatment. We will not be able to give you an appointment without a letter of referral.
The Department of Endodontics Clinic provides all aspects of endodontic care, including root canal therapies, root canal retreatments, endodontic microsurgeries (apicoectomies) and vital pulp therapies, among other treatments.
What To Expect
The first visit will be for an examination, x-rays, and to discuss the treatment plan. Endodontic treatment may or may not be started on the first visit, depending on the nature of your problem, and your insurance requirements.
Please note that Rutgers School of Dental Medicine does not offer Charity Care. Please reference Payment Arrangements or call our office for further information.
