See-through and removable, Invisalign, and similar aligners are a great choice for patients who do not want fixed braces. Each tray is part of a series that helps move your teeth until they are in the proper position. These aligners are designed with the help of specialized computer technology based on the prescription and treatment plan developed by your orthodontist. Patients find it easy to keep teeth clean since these aligners are removable. However, they’re more expensive than traditional braces and aren’t always an option for more complex cases. Also, their effectiveness is dependent on patients wearing them for the prescribed amount of time each day.
