Douglas Kistler, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Douglas Kistler is an assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry/Comprehensive Care. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1991 and then pursued his dental school education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, graduating in 1995. After completing a General Practice Residency (GPR) at York Hospital, York, Pa., he pursued a career in private practice for 26 years in Spring Grove, Pa. Dr. Kistler joined the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2022.

Dr. Kistler received his fellowship award (FAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2005. He then received his mastership (MAGD) in 2016. Dr. Kistler currently pursues continuing education through the AGD as well as a Spear Study Club, in association with the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Ariz. He also has supported and participated in multiple dental missions efforts throughout the years in Pennsylvania.
