Registered Patients

If you are in active treatment (within the last two years) and experiencing a dental emergency during clinic hours, contact your assigned dental student; dental care coordinator, or group receptionist, or stop in and report to your assigned group. Registered patients experiencing severe dental pain after hours or during the weekend or holiday should call our answering service at 973-972-4242 Ext. #1.

Non-registered Patients

You will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is an $85.00 fee for emergency exams ONLY. Additional fees will apply depending on treatment needed and are payable before treatment begins. Call 973-972-4242 Ext. #2. Non-registered patients in need of after-hours emergency treatment may choose to be seen at the University Hospital Emergency Room, located at 150 Bergen Street, Newark.
