Wes Blakeslee ('79) received the Associate Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry at their annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV in November 2007. Wes is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and holds Fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontists & the Misch Implant Institute. He practices general dentistry in Manasquan, NJ.
Vincent Castellano ('78) was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists at its annual meeting in October, 2008.
Maria Cordero ('09) was elected to a one-year term on the American Dental Education Association board of directors as the vice president of students, residents and fellows.
Brad Elkin ('00) is currently serving as president of the Mercer Dental Society. He is an orthodontist with practices in East Windsor, Freehold and Manalapan. Dr. Elkin is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontists, a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Michael Donato Jr. ('89) was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists at its annual meeting in October, 2008.
Kim Fenesy ('86) was featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of the "Magazine of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey". A profile entitled "In Step With The Times" highlights her career as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at NJDS as well as her private practice in Clifton, NJ that is limited to Periodontics.
Carmine Lomonaco ('64) was recently honored by the Essex County Dental Society(ECDS) for a lifetime of service and dedication to organized dentistry. He has held various leadership roles in NJDA and ECDS for more than 20 years. Dr. Lomonaco is a professor in the Department of Endodontics at UMDNJ-NJ Dental School.
John Minichetti ('82) serves on the board of trustees of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
William Nicholas ('66) was recently honored by New Jersey Dental School for 42 years of service as a faculty member.
Michael Pallante ('01) is currently serving as president of the Essex County Dental Society. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, The Western Essex Dental Society and is currently vice president of the Fauchard Dental Society. Dr. Pallante maintains a private practice in West Caldwell, NJ.
Ralph Reilly ('83) has been appointed as a Mentor-Senior Instructor at the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies (CCADS).
James Ruggiero ('66) is currently serving as the vicechair and clinical director of the general practice residency program at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Gary Schneiderman ('87) was selected by the Livingston Township Council to serve as mayor for 2008. Elected to the township council in 2000, Dr. Schneiderman served as mayor in 2004. He and his brother Dr. Bart Schneiderman ('87) are partners in a general dental practice in Jersey City. He is also a clinical instructor at NJDS.
Steven Scrivo ('85) was recently awarded diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, NJ Society of Periodontists, Western Essex Dental Association and the Fauchard Dental Society. Dr. Scrivo maintains a private practice limited to periodontics in West Caldwell, NJ.
Steven Zunger ('82) was recently awarded the Certificate of Recognition for Volunteer Service in a Foreign Country by the American Dental Association. Dr. Zunger maintains a general dental practice in Manalapan, NJ.
