It is with deep regret that the DAA informs you of the passing of Dr. LeRoy A. Parker Jr. A graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Class of 1954, Dr. Parker served as Interim Dean of New Jersey Dental School from 1985-1987 and was granted emeritus professorship at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994.

After graduation from dental school, Dr. Parker served as a dental officer in the US Navy before entering private practice in Union, NJ. Dr. Parker began his full time academic career in 1961 with his appointment as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Oral Diagnosis at Seton Hall.

Dr. Parker was a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He was elected to faculty membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, in 1962.
