Internationally Educated DMD Program

The Internationally Educated DMD Program at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine is designed to enable qualified dentists educated outside the United States or Canada to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree following a special 27 months didactic and clinical program.

Eligibility

The RSDM Internationally Educated DMD Program has been developed for individuals who have completed the equivalent of a DMD or DDS program in a non-US or Canadian accredited dental school. It is intended for individuals who would be interested in pursing a dental career in the US or who would be interested in returning to their country with additional skills acquired in a US accredited DMD program. This program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, as well as international students.

Tuition and Fees

All in-state and out-of-state International Dentist Program students are required to pay their annual tuition and fees, in full, 30 days prior to each academic year. Academic year is defined as:

  • Summer Program
  • Fall/Spring- Third year
  • Fall/Spring- Fourth year
